My City Canvas: App Used to Help Students Integrate into New Environments

My City Canvas is aimed at students as a place to document, plan, and find new locations or events similar to their home city, country, town, etc. However, all can use this application catering searches to places based on a user’s preferences or previous locations.

My role during the creation of this project was to help research and create key personas to develop the design of our app while making sure we focused on user preferences and needs. This process ensured that our research was done ethically and followed the proper TCPS 2: Core 2022 rules and regulations. Afterward, I was tasked with helping a team member with our mobile interface's UX/UI design.

MERAKI: Valentine's Day Themed App for Wabi-Sabi-Thon (Hackathon)

MERAKI means "to do something with soul, creativity or love." With MERAKI, we hope that people worldwide can bond with their partners no matter where they are.

Players work together to create various foods and unlock better dishes to share as they progress through the levels.

Recipes also follow exactly the same steps and measurements as real life, so players can come out of the game learning new recipes and bonding with their partners online!

Contact Lens: Augmented Reality Glasses for Enhanced Social Interactions

This project addresses the mental health challenges among post-secondary undergraduate students, particularly with international students in mind. Our objective is to create augmented reality (AR) glasses to allow students to easily communicate with new people and stay in touch with friends.

With the ability to instantly see the customized interests of the people you are talking to, students can skip the small talk and dive directly into creating meaningful bonds. Furthermore, with the ability to share snippets of your day with friends on the platform, you can share all the small moments you want, when you want.
